1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use a related technology, local storage, for a single preference. On this page, "cookies" refers to both.
2. What this house uses
- Consent preference (local storage, key: featherflame-consent). Remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies, so the banner stays away. Kept up to 12 months; holds no personal data.
- Strictly necessary items. Should we ever need something simply to keep the site functioning, the law doesn't require consent — and anything of the sort will be listed here in the open.
3. What we never use
No advertising trackers. No social media pixels. No cross-site following of any kind. Should that ever change — and it would take a great deal of persuasion — this page would be updated first and the consent banner would return.
4. Changing your mind
To clear the stored preference and be asked again:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Cookies and site data → remove this site.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → remove this site.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → remove this site.
On your next visit the banner will return, and you may choose anew — as with any good menu, second thoughts are permitted.
