1. The house
These terms govern your use of the Feather & Flame website, operated by Feather & Flame Supper Club, 3 Hearth Lane, Charleston, South Carolina. By browsing the site you agree to them. If you don't, we'll keep a seat warm for you anyway.
2. The recipes and writings
All recipes, photographs and notes published here are the club's original work unless credited otherwise. In plain terms:
- Cook from our recipes at home, freely and often.
- Print or save a recipe for your own kitchen and your own table.
- Don't republish our text or photographs — on websites, in books, or in anything commercial — without our written consent.
- Linking to any page is always welcome and never requires permission.
3. Licensing for professional kitchens
Restaurants and food businesses wishing to license a recipe should write to us through the contact page. Several club recipes are already on menus, with our blessing and a fair arrangement.
4. On accuracy
Our recipes are rehearsed many times, but every fire and every bird is slightly different. Treat timings as guidance and use a thermometer for doneness. Nutritional figures are estimates, not dietary or medical advice.
5. Intellectual property
The Feather & Flame name, emblem and site design belong to the club. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to use them.
6. Links beyond our door
Occasionally we link to books, tools or provisions we rate. We're not responsible for the content of external sites.
7. Liability
The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the club accepts no liability for indirect losses arising from use of the site — including scorched saucepans, smoke-logged kitchens or guests who refuse to leave until you've cooked the wings again.
8. Amendments
We may revise these terms as the club grows. The current version always lives on this page.
